How to write launch posts that actually convert
Launch day is when most founders write their weakest posts: rushed, feature-heavy and visually forgettable. Here's the framework we use.
1. Lead with the outcome, not the feature
“Dark mode is here” is a feature. “Work late without frying your eyes” is an outcome. Open with what changes for the reader.
2. Show proof in the visual
A short animated post showing the product in motion beats a paragraph of copy. Our Product Launch and Device Mockup templates are built for this. Keep it under 6 seconds so it loops.
3. One call to action
Pick one: try it, read the changelog, or reply. Use a tracked link (PromoForge adds UTM tags per platform) so you know which network drove signups.
4. Tailor per platform
- X: under 280 characters, punchy, and the GIF does the heavy lifting.
- LinkedIn: a short story arc and three benefit bullets.
- Instagram: a vertical MP4 (Reels don't accept GIFs), with the hook in the first frame.
